Mississippi Mutts is a pet supply store, located in downtown Cape Girardeau, that aims to be “your dog’s home away from home.” Our mission is to connect you with the perfect products with the best benefits for your pet!
Meet the Team
Sherry Jennings
Owner
I opened Mississippi Mutts over a decade ago. I love dogs and was inspired by the unique relationships they share with humans. My dogs, Murphy and Hazel Mae, keep that inspiration alive every day. My favorite things we have in store right now are Chala bags and Canine Couture’s travel mugs. My favorite thing about working at Mutts is getting to know our family of pet owners and their pets. They are like an extended family to me, and it warms my heart when we are able to help keep their pets happy and healthy.

Years ago, at 1:00 am, Sherry called me and said she wanted to open a dog bakery and self-serve dog wash. The rest is history. My favorite aspect of Mutts is the bakery. It gives us the chance to be a part of everyone’s fur babies. From weddings to birthdays, and everything in between! I also love helping our customers meet their dogs' and cats' needs, and loving on all of their fur kids! My own fur kid's name is Josie. Her favorite thing in the store has to be the toys.

I’ve moved from a fill-in at Mutts to a part-time position. I have experience with pet products and pet nutrition with a focus on both raw and holistic products — two things that I love. I’ve had many animals over the years but recently got a puppy, Taj, and he’s such a joy. So far Taj loves his Primal Goat's Milk and Raw Bones! I’m thrilled to be here spoiling your fur babies!
